Meet Corrine Russo, MVP Physician Assistant

Corrine was born in Oregon and spent her early childhood years in California, but has lived in Howard County, MD for most of her life.

We asked her a few questions about her journey from Maryland Vein Professionals patient to employee.

Where did you go to college?
I completed my undergraduate studies at the University of Maryland, College Park and my master’s degree/Physician Assistant studies at George Washington University in Washington, DC.

Why did you select MVP for your vein procedure?
As a type A personality I tend to research! So that’s precisely what I did… and my data collection led me to MVP. My actual experience was way better than even all the amazing things I read!

Why did you decide to work for MVP?
As a patient, every single person that I interacted with was so happy, friendly, helpful… they just seemed like they loved their job.

And Dr. Calure’s approachable, laid back demeanor––while also providing meticulous surgical care––made him someone that I respected and looked up to as an aspiring medical professional myself.

Favorite movies, books and TV programs?
Not a big movie buff. I haven’t even seen many classics (like “Dirty Dancing”––don’t judge me), so my favorite movie is usually the one I’ve seen most recently, “Shrek”.

Favorite book is hard; I love so many, but my all-time favorite is “The Prophet”.

TV programs––is there anything other than “Chopped” on TV? I wouldn’t know, that’s literally all I watch. No, I haven’t seen “Game of Thrones”, “House of Cards”, etc. I’m a loyalist. I only watch “Chopped”.

Favorite place to visit?
Oh, that’s hard. It’s probably a tie between the gym and the park!

Where do you see yourself in five years?
Rolling around on the floor of my house with lots of doggies jumping on me. (I currently have zero, but am planning to bring one home in early August, so I’m quite a ways off from this goal. But I’ll get there!)
