The entire staff at Maryland Vein Professionals wants to wish you a Happy St. Patrick’s Day. Celebrate by wearing something green.
Though St. Patrick’s Day is not yet a public holiday in the U.S., it most certainly is in the Republic of Ireland, in Northern Ireland, in Newfoundland and Labrador, and in the British Overseas Territory of Montserrat. St. Patty’s Day is also celebrated by Irish people around the globe.
If you happen to be wearing other colors on your legs because of ugly, blue-green-purple varicose veins or unsightly spider veins, it’s important that you get screened and examined for venous insufficiency, also known as vein disease. Other symptoms of vein disease can include:
- Pain or cramping in your legs
- Burning or itching of your skin
- Leg or ankle swelling
- A “heavy” or tired feeling in your legs
- Skin discoloration or texture changes
- Restless leg syndrome
- Or open wounds or sores
If you have any of these symptoms of vein disease, please call MVP now to schedule a free vein screening: 877-303-VEIN (8346). Our next screenings are March 17th in Columbia, March 18th in Annapolis and Pikesville/Baltimore and March 20th in Chevy Chase.
